C03: Since Mac OS X is Unix-based, you can almost always just use the standard linux functions! In this case you can use usleep (which takes a time in microseconds) and just multiply your milliseconds by 1000 to get microseconds.

Tried this suggestion (below) on my MacBookAir 2018 - Reset the NVRAM, as per Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support. Then if that doesn't fix it Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support. Did Not Work, Must always HARD REBOOT.
