In The Beginning (itch) (shadow3777) Mac OS

Find games for macOS like Friday Night Funkin', Cold Shot, Wrong Floor, Deepest Sword, Dying of Thirst on itch.io, the indie game hosting marketplace.

  • Installing itch on OSX. Download the latest version from Open Install itch.app; If it doesn't launch the first time - try a second time. We're looking into that particular issue. Note: before v25, itch used to install in /Applications/itch.app. It now installs per-user, in /Applications/itch.app. You might want to remove.
  • In other news, I also made a version for both Mac OS X and Linux. I have no way of testing them right now so I'd be very pleased if you guys were able to try it out for me. I think this might be the first time I've ever made something for either of those two, I can't really say MADE it since all it took was for me to basically click the.
  • The Macintosh II is a personal computer designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple Computer from March 1987 to January 1990. Based on the Motorola 68020 32-bit CPU, it is the first Macintosh supporting color graphics. When introduced, a basic system with monitor and 20 MB hard drive cost US$5,498 (equivalent to $12,373 in 2019). With a 13-inch color monitor and 8-bit display card the price.
  • Recent versions of Mac OS X have built-in code signature verification mechanisms enabled by default that will prevent opening unsigned apps (also known as Gatekeeper). While this provides little security (any one can buy a $99/year individual developer certificate), it does allow you to verify that the app you just downloaded was, indeed, built.

Hey there, everyone!

So I got pretty hyped on this project at the beginning of the week and ended up talking with a buddy of mine about making some design changes. He said he'd send me some design ideas during the weekend.

Oh boy, did he deliver!

He actually sent me two designs for the software, so that people could switch between them at will.

I think he thought this was a mobile app? I just chuckled at the Carrier carrier.

If you take a look at those 4 squares right of the score title, you can see that you're supposed to be able to switch between list mode and... squares mode? I don't know the technical term. Who knows. I didn't know how to make that work and, to be honest, I didn't even notice that he made that design choice. I just thought he made two designs because he was a good sport. (heh)

Oh yeah! This is the new design, by the way:

Delicious, right?

I was very pleased with the design. There was nothing I wanted to change in it, even though it was designed with mobile in mind, I might have to try and make it you able to do it through mobile now I guess, haha

The final product does not look exactly the same as the design I showed you because:

1) He made this in Adobe XD and I didn't want to bother him by asking that he sent me everything sliced;

2) I didn't have his fonts or icons with me so I had to guess and look for similar things and;

3) The design was made with mobile in mind but my program is in a wonky 440x720 so I had to try and fit everything in.

I still like the way it came out, so I don't mind.

In other news, I also made a version for both Mac OS X and Linux. I have no way of testing them right now so I'd be very pleased if you guys were able to try it out for me. I think this might be the first time I've ever made something for either of those two, I can't really say MADE it since all it took was for me to basically click the <Export> button.

Anyway, I hope you guys are able to stream your tournaments with a bit more ease than before.

Oh! Please check my buddy's artstation and behance, the man is crazy good!

It's easy to use, beautifully tutorialised, and hugely fascinating.

I just finished playing and my mind is blown. I spent most of my time staring at the screen, smiling like an idiot.

[Universe Sandbox] is one of the coolest things I've used on Vive so far.

Most epic moment - increased the mass of the sun when it suddenly flashed insanely in a giant supernova. Epic touch.

...a vast improvement over the original. ... an incredibly enjoyable simulator.

This simulator will blow your mind. I love it.

Everyone should be playing Universe Sandbox.

To describe the simulated destruction of Earth as satisfying is to undersell the delight of a child with a magnifying glass and some plastic soldiers.

I just love this stuff. I could explore this game all day.

Love this program. So pretty. You guys really outdid yourselves!!

It's like my great grandfather always used to say, 'Nothing like destroying 45 simultaneous instances of the Milky Way to brighten up a bad day.'

If the water starts to evaporate, this might be one of the best games ever made... [water evaporates]

Space is so cool!

A space simulator like no other: The Sims meets Elite meets Stephen Hawking's archives.

This simulator really puts you in the driver's seat to the universe we live in.
